The Columbia Democratic Club is the oldest Democratic organization in Howard County, MD. We are a group of concerned citizens committed to the election of Democratic candidates to office. The club is also committed to advancing progressive ideas through membership and outreach. We hold town-hall style meetings with elected officials and policymakers. Throughout the year we also hold panel discussions on issues of interest.

The CDC is a member of the Howard County Coalition for Immigrant Justice (HCCIJ), a group of immigrants, concerned organizations, and individuals working to support and protect our foreign-born friends and neighbors in Howard County. We believe all residents of Howard County deserve respect, justice, safety, and opportunities to thrive and prosper. In 2022, the voters of Howard County affirmed this stance by overwhelmingly approving Ballot Question A, which prevents County employees from asking about the immigration status of residents and discriminating based on immigration status, and requires that certain information related to citizenship be kept confidential in Howard County. CDC was proud to provide significant financial and human resources to support the passage of this ballot initiative.
